Col. Tom Taylor shows

Col Thomas D. Taylor, USAF Ret. worked all his life for public education as a teacher and college professor of sciences. Time invested was about 40 years each. Col Tom is married with two grown sons 56 and 58 YO and daughter 32. In addition, he has one grandson and a granddaughter due April 20.
He also served the community with membership in Optimist Intl.,40 years, and Rotary Intl. for about 15 years. After retiring in 1985, Col Tom volunteered as a Senior Center board member at Burke SR Center for about 10 years then East Burke Senior Center as Board member and a member of the EBSC Association. He also produced Bluegrass music shows for them which included top bands at the time.  He is the current President of the local Western Piedmont Amateur Radio Club (Hams)..

Col Tom’s Life of Radio

Col Tom began internet streaming with WWB, Gracie Muldoon, some 10-15 years ago. He then went over to the Bluegrass Mix With Roger Randolph.  From there, Col Tom invested and maintained his own stations for several years. “I let DJ’s operate on the type of music they desired,  Bluegrass, country, gospel, or pop. I had DJ’s from Australia, England and various places in the states.”
Col Tom is no stranger to bluegrass festivals.  He has attended most area festivals, IBMA, SPBGMA, and National Quartet Convention (Southern Gospel).
