Tony Fuld shows

I was first introduced to bluegrass music in the 5th grade while living in Delavan, Illinois. After 9th grade, I moved to Decatur, Illinois, and became acquainted with Joe Singer of WHOW radio in Clinton. I would pull records for him and watch him ‘turn the dials.’

I started collecting 45s and albums when I was in high school. (CDs were not invented yet.) When I moved to Atlanta in 1985, I became friends with the station manager at WRFG Radio, a volunteer station. Because of my knowledge and collection of bluegrass, Mr. Davis offered me a show. I was on two hours a week for 20 years.

About six years ago, I moved about 35 miles from WRFG. With my wife’s health, I wanted to be home or closer, even though it was a difficult decision to leave WRFG.

I started listening to The Bluegrass Jamboree when I worked in the local gym. I contacted Annette Grady, and the rest is history.

My collection is primarily vintage bluegrass, both vinyl and cd’s. I also have a collection of live music. If you like traditional old-time and bluegrass, give me a listen.
