Jack Blanchard And Misty Morgan, The Focus Of This Weeks Overdrive’s Music To Truck By
July 2, 2021
Streaming radio host “Big Al” Weekley talks truck parking on Friday’s “Overdrive’s Music to Truck By,” a weekly music program on TheBluegrassJamboree.com.
But that’s not all. He’ll also feature an interview he conducted with Jack Blanchard and Misty Morgan, perhaps best known for the 1970 single “Tennessee Bird Walk.”
It was the country music duo’s second release together and rose the year of its release all the way up to No. 1 on the country charts, crossing over to the pop charts as well.
The issue of parking difficulties, meanwhile, has been prominent in trucking headlines for more than a decade, and Weekley hopes to serve as a kind of translator for program listeners outside the close confines of trucking itself.
For many years in the United States, as he notes, Jason’s Law has been on the books, building the profile of the issue nationwide with studies, surveys and some development of new spaces with public dollars. Yet shifts in trucking toward electronic logging devices, and general growth in the number of trucks on the road, have continued to outpace new parking development both public and private.
