POTD: Circa Blue

Circa Blue is a contemporary bluegrass and country band formed in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in 2010. Their music fuses traditional bluegrass elements with a modern approach that lies between the conventional and newgrass styles.

Renowned for their innovative and dynamic arrangements, precise instrumentation, and harmonious vocals, Circa Blue’s music blends original compositions and cover material that defies musical categorization. 

Circa Blue has also collaborated with other musicians on their albums. Their debut CD featured special guests such as Mike Auldridge on the resophonic guitar and Chris Sexton from the popular bluegrass band Nothin’s Fancy on the fiddle track. Over time, they have honed their sound and showcased their musical prowess on original songs and covers.
