POTD: Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome

Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome is a bluegrass band specializing in bringing traditional bluegrass sounds to life. Led by Jeff Brown, who has previously played with the bluegrass legend Larry Sparks, the band’s music is firmly rooted in the Stanley sound of the Virginia mountains. They perform melancholic and tragic songs about Appalachian life, where even stories of happiness and joy have a mournful touch.  Jeff directs the band like a field general through a list of some of the best music on the circuit today.
